Ian Bell and David Braben are the fathers of the economic and flight simulation in space called "Elite". The game was originally developed in 1984 for the BBC Micro and enjoyed great popularity also as a port for many other systems, including the C64, Acorn Archimedes, NES, of course also the Amiga and many other systems.

Ian Bell has dedicated a whole area to his game on his homepage and is now making the game available as a free download for various systems.
