As far as Fruit Machine simulators go, this is one of the best!
This has got to be a first... writing a computer game review for a Fruit Machine game! But it is due this honour, as World Tour is one of the most addictive games for it genre.
Unfortunately, the only copy I ever played was just a demo. Though, the game was so good that the demo was all I really needed! As the title suggests, World Tour is about touring the world... and how do they get that into a Fruit Machine? Simple really.
Apart from all the standard cherries, bells, nudges, holds and bars you get in Fruit Machines, you also get passports (on a cherries, bell etc). Get three passports and wham, your off on a tour around the world! There is a large map that covers the top half of the machine, and different locations are marked. Now you must collect a certain amount of points to travel from place to place via another single wheel. When you travel there is a little moving image of a plane, train and bus shooting by! Locations include, London, Madrid, Syndey, Kenya and the finale being New York (but of course!). However the travel 'wheel' as well as having points, also has 'bust' which you loose all your money and travel and go back to the original Fruit Machine game.
The addictiveness comes from trying to get all the way round the world, visiting all of the different places! What was worse, my demo had a TIME limit. So I had to get round the world, with so many credits, and an invisible timer!
I only got to New York once.
