"The Wicked Witch has kidnapped the fair Princess! What's worse is that she's turned the Prince into a helpless frog too! But with his new found froggy powers, courageous red cape and his faithful Destructo-Spud, Superfrog will let nothing stand in his way!"

How many people know that it was the cutesy Superfrog who was originally sponsored by Lucozade not Lara Croft? Well, he did a fine job of it too!
Superfrog was a game in development for years at Team 17, all that time they couldn't quite figure out how to make it, but when it was released, they said that they believed it uses every bit of Amiga power available. I have to agree!
Superfrog has always been one of my favourites, ever since I was young, I'd play it forever, even though I always died at the very last level at a seemingly impassable pit of spikes! Only too recently have I actually completed it! (If your stuck at the spike pit, get the wings and slap on auto-fire! You'll gracefully fly right over the pit!)
You have 25 massive platform levels to guide Superfrog through, the main objective, to collect enough coins to open the exit. You also collect fruit to increase your score, and hundreds of the other power ups you can find! Unfortunately, with about ten years of battling to complete it, I was rather disappointed with the final battle against the Wicked Witch. It was dull and without FX and felt rather rushed by Team 17. Shame, because otherwise it is a truly brilliant game!
