"The Master Bat-and-Ball game!"

Now I am sure that we all grew up with a different bat-and-ball game, or even a completely different game, but for me Megaball is a classic! My whole family played it, which I think is a record of sort, and it was highly addictive.
If you aren't into your bat-and-ball games, then all of this is quite irrelivant, but Megaball had three sequels, unsurprisingly they were; Megaball 2, Megaball 3 and Megaball 4! Plus, in more recent times, the author of Megaball had given copyrights to the creators of DX Ball, which ultimately is an exact copy for the PC. If you liked Megaball as much as I did and for some reason can't get a PC emulator, get DX-Ball for your PC (it should work for XP).
For those of you merrily reminising or you interested few (or those completely baffled) Megaball was a colourful, graphic game. You play as a futuristic 'bat' that moves from left to right at the bottom edge of the screen by moving the mouse. You must destroy the pattern of blocks above you by hitting the bouncing ball off your bat and into the blocks. There are perhaps over twenty different power ups, some good (like 'brick-thru' and 'sticky bat') and bad ones ('death' and 'minimise bat'). The bonus tokens fall from random blocks when they are destroyed.
Each level is unique, often the blocks are made into a picture like a butterfly or a landscape, making the whole game intriguing and fun.
I haven't played it for a while, but fond memories will never die. A very good (the best) bat-and-ball!
