Auf der diesjährigen Bankettrede (AmiWest) hat Hyperions Projektmanager Steven Solie ein PowerPC-Netbook für AmigaOS 4 angekündigt.
Das 12"-Netbook basiere auf der e300-Architektur und wird frühestens Mitte 2012 für etwa 300 bis 500 US-Dollar erhältlich sein.

Steven Solie ergänzt, das AmigaOS 4 läuft bereits darauf, die Treiber seien noch in Entwicklung.

Laut Ben Hermans handelt es sich um eine bereits existierende Hardware, die in spezieller Konfiguration vom OEM bezogen werde. Im Preis ist die Benutzerlizenz für AmigaOS 4 enthalten.
