Amiga 1200 -> Power light and PCMCIA interface defect?

Post by Lincoln_Hawk »

Dear members,

I just registered to ask for help about a (probably) defect of my Amiga 1200 which just occured.

After I inserted and pulled out several times the compact-flash-PCMCIA adapter during the Amiga was turned on, the amiga now didn't detect the compact flash card (cf0) any more.
Futhermore I realized, that the power-led doesn't shine any more. Beside of this, the Amiga works fine...

Maybe I destroyed an internal chip because of the PCMCIA-card change activities (I had to test different CF-cards)...

Does anybody know this problem and maybe also knows which chip is probably defect? Are there any online-shops where spare parts can be bought (of course ebay always works with a little bit of luck...)?

Thanks for every serious help!!!
(I'm an Amiga newbie, so if you need more information about the system, please describe it in an easy way...)
